A Day with my Aga

A stack of freshly baked square-shaped bread or cake topped with sesame seeds, cooling on a wire rack in a kitchen.

“Step into my warm and inviting country kitchen for a day dedicated to mastering the art of cooking with an Aga. This experience is designed to celebrate slow, comforting cooking with a touch of rustic charm”

What to Expect

This experience is about more than just cooking; it's about embracing the rhythm of slow, thoughtful meals in a home filled with warmth, flavour, and comfort. Come spend a day with my AGA — where simple ingredients, timeless techniques, and good company come together to create something truly special

I will guide you through:

- We'll begin by sourcing quality ingredients and building a well-stocked pantry of essentials. Together, we'll bake breads that fill the kitchen with rich aromas, prepare wholesome oven stocks, and create comforting soups and chowder.

- Some dishes will be demonstrated step-by-step, while others will be suggested — giving you the freedom to explore techniques and recipes at home with confidence.

- We'll master the art of roasts, rich sauces, creamy risottos, and hearty casseroles — all brought to life through the steady warmth of my AGA. And of course, no day would be complete without learning the secrets to a perfect one-pan breakfast.

- To finish on a sweet note, we'll enjoy a comforting dessert — perhaps a rich, velvety chocolate pudding or a seasonal fruit crumble, baked in the AGA.

Beyond the Kitchen:

Cooking is about more than just food it's about creating an experience. We will also explore the art of entertaining.

- Share Lunch in my beautiful home giving you the opportunity to relax and enjoy the delicious dishes we've prepared.

- Adding to the charm, you'll meet my Sheila's Maid, the traditional overhead drying rack that's both a nostalgic touch and a clever kitchen companion — the ultimate "virtual ironing assistant"!
